Foreign exchange market opened at record highs as investors poured into the coffee market.
The benchmark U.S. dollar was trading at about US$1.5055 at the close in Hong Kong.
The dollar index was trading around US$0.9950.
The greenback closed at US$US7.1057, down almost US$2.80 since November 24.
The euro edged higher to $1.2062 from US$3.0750.
